The value of the product is a red herring. The most important point here is that most people get scammed not because they are looking for a good travel package, but because they are looking for a good income opportunity.
Most people would not buy the Ultralife product if there were not a business opportunity attached.
Our first hand experience with many people on Alan's 8-4-2-1 Aussie 2-up pyramid "boards" showed us that well over 90% of participants LOSE money, most of which ends up in Alan's pocket.
When people complain, he calls them "lame and lazy" or worse, "lying, cheating, thieving distributors."
Not the kind of person we'd ever want to work with again.

You need to get a small group together to a) make your complaint to the appropriate regulator, and b) bring the appropriate action against the parties with money.

If there is ever a "Class Action" suit brought against these people, please let me know, and count us in. We went to meetings & "Bought" into BIM, we also sold 1 key last August/08 and feel we were terribly misled because almost the whole room was in on the ruse. If you asked a question, a distributor in the audience was likely to give the "Pat" answer. Also their "Worst Case Scenario" was a HUGE lie, they just said your business stalled for a short time, they don't tell you if no one on the Board makes any sales, the Board gets crushed. They also said you get your money back, which is the biggest lie. You can sell your "Product" that you paid $3200 for, but you must sell it for $9000 (who is going to pay that?). There is no help, and not many instructions, by the time you realize how secretive it is, it's too late. Please let us know if anyone knows of any recourse. Thanks for reading.

Can you please describe what this about? If you went to the presentation were you misled? What is our policy in re. to refunds? Thats one of the things that people should really be concerned about and that you get all the information up front, that nothing is hiddent.. That people do actually save money when using the product, that they CAN in fact get a cheaper deal than
everybody else that books online, otherwise that would
be misleading and wrong to offer something (savings) that are not true. If the pointof the presentation is to show people that they CAN actually get a cheaper
price on accomodations if they buy the product then
they should be able to sell the membership and attached
an income opportunity option to it. They should have a written contract with the resorts stating that their members are entitled to substancially cheaper prices than what is offered online.
