One of the standard tricks of a con criminal is to trade on borrowed authority, real fake. The easiest authority to borrow is from a well respected charity. By sponsoring a charity event, or having some perceived connection to a charity, the con criminal absorbs the authority from the charity.

The clever fraud actually uses a fake charity, the fake borrowing authority from the real charity using a sound alike name."

I have no idea or opinion about XanGo, but the following correction at Optree worries me.

"I received an email today from Jennifer Dempsey, Communications Coordinator at Children's Wish Foundation of Canada about a recent story we did about XanGo and the Wish Foundation. We incorrectly stated that the company had partnered with the Make a Wish Foundation. The correct story should have read that XanGo has partnered with the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada.

Well, who is the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada? Here is the Alexa ranking of the two websites, the Make a Wish Foundation and Childrens Wish Foundation?
