When Google Sucks at Providing Legal Information- It Really Sucks!

Google doesn't provide legal information, but Google does rank webpages, providing high ranked pages with authority.

Here is, as of December 5th, 2006 Google's top ranked page for the search on "Franchise Lawsuits":

What You Should Know About Franchise Lawsuits from AllBusiness.com

I don't know who wrote this piece of fluff, but it is incredibly misleading. The author has no idea about the relative importance of class action lawsuits, multiparty lawsuits versus single plaintiff actions.

When evaluating a franchisor distributorship the type of problems that you want to know about are systemic flaws in the system, such as alleged in the recent Quiznos class action. filed in Ontario. In this class action, the plaintiffs allege systemic problems related to Quiznos method of obtaining locations for its prospective franchisees.

The existence of a class action lawsuit, or class action franchise arbitration is far more important than merely counting the number of lawsuits that a franchisor has disclosed in their disclosure document.
