University Painters - AG State of Ohio
The Attorney General alleges that:
"the company violated state law by pressuring the students to pay the company roughly $3,000 for marketing materials and "logistical support" and misrepresenting the students' legal right to back out of the contract during a standard "cooling off" period. Afterward, when the students failed to meet the unrealistic sales goals set for them, the company enforced monetary claims against them by invoking a "confession-of-judgment" clause in their contract, a ploy that put the students at an unfair disadvantage and is illegal in Ohio"
University Painters continues to recruit in Connecticut -Delaware - District of Columbia - Maryland - Massachusetts - New Hampshire - New Jersey - Ohio - Pennsylvania - Rhode Island - Vermont - Virginia, according to its website.
Do these "cooling off period" statutes ever work? Did any of the 13 Ohio students take advantage of their rights under the Ohio's Business Opportunity Purchaser's Protection Act, during the cooling off period?

Comments
The students created a website that is connecting all the dots around this University Painters scam. It goes much deeper. Check out the website which has a 7 minute Fox News New York expose on the low lifes at University Painters, including CEO Josh Jablon.
